Description
Is time travel only science fiction? This is the question that this unusual book would like to answer. Chronochronicles is structured in two very different parts that are strictly connected. The first part is a science fiction narrative dealing with travels through time: a collection of short stories that are often paradoxical, it has the aim of inciting curiosity in the reader. The second part is a scientific treatment of the same subject of time travel (theory of relativity, black holes, wormholes, etc.) Simple but rigorous in the explanations, all the concepts can be easily understood even by those who are not in the field. No boring or pedantic lessons, this volume takes us on a real voyage through a world rich in images and situations that are even more amazing and strange than those in science fiction. The reader may find amusing stories where Einstein converses with Alice from Wonderland, or references to curious events and incidents with enigmatic aspects, like the famous disaster of the Titanic, which the author carefully investigated with the help of a well-known American expert. From the union of fantastic stories, singular happenings and unusual scientific concepts, a new book that is easy and exciting to read, both educational and fun. - Flavio Cenni was born in Genoa (Italy), but is an anglophile, as is readily apparent from this book. After years spent in research laboratories, he dedicated his activity exclusively to teaching. More recently, he devoted himself to the spread of scientific knowledge, creating for the Carige Bank a book series on astrophysics that was distributed free of charge to middle and high schools. He has been a guest on radio programs on the RAI, Italy's main radio and television network.
