Description

In this contribution I summarize some data related to food management from period VI A in the Arslantepe sequence,1 and I discuss some key issues concerning food politics and Uruk foodways from the point of view of the Anatolian highlands. The aim is to elucidate an archaeological case study of an Uruk-related site, largely documented by a long lasting excavation over a wide area (fig. 1), where no textual evidence has been found.
