Description
Like the two previous ones, this third volume of the catalogue of the Alana collection has also been prepared by Miklós Boskovits, who chose most of the works for inclusion and edited some of the entries. Following the same criterion of selection employed for the previous volumes, determined by the dynamics of the collection that make the anthological form obligatory, we here present thirty-six works by Italian painters from the 13th to the 16th century, active in Tuscany, the Veneto, Lombardy, Liguria, Emilia-Romagna and the Marche, testifying to the variety, and thus to the richness, of Italian painting in the period documented in the collection.
